Zac Efron Completed Stint in Rehab 5 Months Ago
According to TMZ, 25 year-old Efron completed treatment for cocaine use at a rehab facility roughly five months ago. He was admitted after his addiction became out of control while filming the Seth Rogen film Neighbors in April. Efron appeared in good spirits recently at the Toronto Film Festival and will next be seen in the JFK drama Parkland.
Pixar Pushes Back Releases for Two Films
Animation giant Pixar announced today that the releases of two of their upcoming films, Finding Dory and The Good Dinosaur, would be pushed back to Nov. 25, 2015 and June 17, 2016 respectively. While this means that no Pixar films will be released in 2015, current president Edwin Catmull defended the decision by stating, “Nobody ever remembers the fact that you slipped a film, but they will remember a bad film.”
Grand Theft Auto V Takes in $800 Million in First Day Sales
Grand Theft Auto V is a hit. The newly released game generated $800 million worldwide in just 24 hours, making it “the highest first day retail sales of any title in the history of the company and the Grand Theft Auto series” according to Take-Two. In North America alone, more than 8,300 stores opened their doors at midnight to welcome fans of the popular franchise. The game has garnered positive reviews and is poised to soon surpass $1 billion in sales.
