It is definitely a busy year for actress Lily Rabe. As fans impatiently wait for the third season of American Horror Story to debut, the actress is off to film her part in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.
Lionsgate announced last week that Rabe will portray the part of Commander Lyme, the rebel leader from District 2 who fights alongside Katniss in the battle against the Capital. Rabe is most famous for her role as Sister Mary Eunice, an innocent nun-turned-sex-crazed-demon in American Horror Story: Coven.
Since the announcement that Lily Rabe will be joining the cast, Lionsgate has also released the names of several other new cast members. Elden Henson (The Butterfly Effect, Deja Vu) will portray Pollux, and Wes Chatham (The Help) will play Castor, two cameramen who create propaganda in the war against the Capital. Mahershala Ali (The Place Beyond the Pines) plays the role of Boggs, the personal bodyguard of Katniss. Commander Paylor, the rebel leader of district 8, will be portrayed by Patina Miller (All My Children).
The next installment of The Hunger Games Franchise, Catching Fire, is set to be released this November. You can spot Rabe teaming up with Jennifer Lawrence in November 2014, when The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is released.
