The amount of insults that are dropped in a single episode of Veep are staggering. From the entire staff insulting Jonah (Timothy Simons) to Dan (Reid Scott) continuously hammering Mike (Matt Walsh), Veep makes every line and zinger count.

Not many shows can say that their entire ensemble, right down to minor background characters, are constantly at the height of their comedic game. The entire ensemble does an incredible job at committing to the comedy of Veep. For any fan of Veep one of the greatest things is that some of the hilarious moments are not scripted. With an all star cast of comedians it’s safe to say that a lot of Veep hinges on the cast and this ensemble is one of the best on television.

4. Anna Chlumsky

Her role as Amy Brookheimer is career-defining and it is no surprise that she was nominated yet again at this year’s Emmy Awards. In this past season of Veep, Chlumsky shines in a scene where she blows up at Selina (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). She is the actress to watch on Veep and year after year fans cannot wait to see how she continues to grow into a bonafide comedian.

Hale consistently brings his A-game in every scene of Veep. His comedic talent is that of legends and his role as Gary will definitely go down as one of his best. Hale and Julia Louis-Dreyfus play opposite each other flawlessly and Hale is probably one of the best actors on Veep hands down.
